I'm starting to think that nowadays, Swiss Acoustic Desaster only releases very peaceful, small-scale music that doesn't actually have that much in common with psychedelia or even rock. At least the promos I've been receiving lately would imply that. Well, that's okay, as soon as the music is good. Taken their name from an old folk song, Henry My Son has previously composed music for poems of William Blake, and now it was time for the English romantic poet William Wordsworth (1770-1850). The very minimal instrumentation includes guitar, harmonium, piano and cello. This about 40-minute-long CD-R has ten tracks that differ from a minute-and-a-half to over nine minutes in length. The superb, tender, peaceful and beautiful music could almost be labeled as folk but it's not really traditional folk music. At times the atmosphere is pretty melancholic and longing, but also some more positive feelings get mediated. The very atmospheric and emotional music fits perfectly into Wordsworth's texts and the singer is present in a great way. Some of the best tracks in my opinion are "To The Cuckoo" and "To Sleep" and their dreamy, floating and monotonic music gives flashbacks from The Velvet Underground or Spacemen 3. "The Sparrow's Nest" also has some quiet, primitive drum machine. All in all, this is a very pleasant, relaxing but emotion-filled album that could be recommended for example to the fans of Leonard Cohen or Tim Buckley.

This is a 10 track CD which last 39 mins and is a very special CD. All the words are by William Wordsworth. Some of the tracks are very short, only a few minutes and others longer and feature cello, harmonium, piano and guitar. Hari, has a very special spoken word approach to putting William's words to music. Some of this reminds me of someone but I just can't place it. A bit of Velvet Underground, Tom Waits, and ... Anyway, it is very laid back, dreamy and peaceful stuff.
